Konsultation och Utvärdering:
- Medicinsk Historik och Fysisk Undersökning: Dr. Aksan reviews the patient’s overall health, previous breast surgeries, current medications, and any breast health issues.
- Discussion of Aesthetic Goals: The patient’s desires regarding breast shape, size, and elevation are discussed.
- Physical Assessment: Examination of the breast size, skin quality, nipple placement, and the degree of sagging (ptosis).
Preoperative Tests:
- Routine blood tests and, if necessary, mammograms or breast ultrasounds based on the patient’s age and medical history.
Planning and Marking:
- Dr. Aksan marks the breasts while the patient is standing, indicating the new position of the nipple and areola and the extent of the lift.
Surgical Procedure by Dr. Tolga Aksan
Anesthesia:
- A breast lift is typically performed under general anesthesia.
Incision:
- Peri-Areolar Incision (Donut): Made around the areola; suitable for minor lifts.
- Vertical Incision (Lollipop): Around the areola and vertically down to the breast crease; suitable for moderate lifts.
- Inverted T or Anchor Incision: Around the areola, vertically down and along the breast crease; used for extensive lifts.
Lifting and Reshaping:
- Excess breast skin is removed, and breast tissue is lifted and reshaped to improve breast contour and firmness.
- The nipple and areola are repositioned to a natural, more youthful height.
- The size of the areola can be reduced if it has been stretched.
Closing the Incisions:
- The incisions are brought together to reshape the now uplifted breast. Sutures are layered within the breast tissue to create and support the newly shaped breasts.

Immediate Recovery:
- Postoperative swelling, bruising, and discomfort are common and managed with medications. Dr. Aksan will provide you a support bra to minimize swelling and support the breasts.
Postoperative Instructions:
- Care instructions for the incisions, information on medications to apply or take orally, and when to resume normal activities.
- Instructions on wearing a support bra and engaging in gentle activities.
Follow-up Visits:
- Regular appointments with Dr. Aksan to monitor healing and the progress of breast shaping.
Long-Term Care and Results:
- The final results of a breast lift are typically visible after a few months as the swelling subsides, and the breast shape settles.
- Scars will fade over time but may not disappear completely.
